April 17th, 2009: This year, LKP is hosting a Charity Playoff Hockey Pool where all the funds raised will go towards helping youth in need participate in organized sporting programs.

April 9th, 2009: This year, LKP is hosting a Charity Playoff Hockey Pool where all the funds raised will go towards helping youth in need participate in organized sporting programs. Prizes include Canucks tickets, rounds of golf, restaurant gift certificates, and more.

While there is no entry fee to join the Pool, all participants are encouraged to make a minimum $5 donation to LKP along with their entry. Tax receipts will be issued for donations of $25 or more. There will be prizes for the top individual pool entries and any organization with five or more entries will be eligible to win the LKP Corporate Trophy for display at their office.

How to Enter:

1. Visit http://letkidsplay.hockeydraft.ca and make your selections. Entries will be accepted until midnight on Friday, April 17th, 2009.
2. Make a donation to Let Kids Play
3. Check the standings and enjoy the playoffs!

March 24th, 2009: ParticipACTION in collaboration with the Canadian Fitness and Lifestyle Research Institute released a Lifestyle Tips newsletter outlining the benefits of family physical activity and some tips to implementing physical activity into your family's lifestyle. February 20th, 2009: LKP was recently invited to the Evolution 107.9 studio in Burnaby for a radio interview. LKP’s Board of Directors discussed the history of the charity, its current operations, and its vision for the future of the organization. September 1st, 2008: With the start of the new school year and sports seasons, LKP is currently accepting applications.

June 3rd, 2008: A recent Stats Canada study showed that participation in sports is declining amongst youth. The study found that participation in sports rose with household incomes and the education levels of parents. Click here for the full study.

June 1st, 2008: LKP and 604Dodgeball held a Charity Dodgeball Tournament on May 30, 2008. The tournament was a success with ten teams participating and over five hundred dollars raised for LKP. Click here for pictures.

April 29th, 2008: On April 26, 2008, the UBC Faculty of Medicine held its Annual Spring Gala with this year's charity of choice being LKP. Stay tuned for pictures.

March 17th, 2008: LKP partners with 604Dodgeball to host a Charity Dodgeball Tournament on May 30, 2008. All tournament proceeds will be donated to LKP and used to put kids into sport. Click here for more information.

February 4th, 2008: UBC Faculty of Medicine chooses LKP as their charity of choice for the 14th Annual Spring Gala to be held April 26th, 2008 at the Chan Centre.
